A shocking incident in Ann Arbor saw an elderly man tragically lose his life in a fatal pedestrian accident involving a plow truck on Friday evening. Just west of the University of Michigan in the 500 block of W Huron Street, a 58-year-old man was busy clearing snow from a driveway when he unintentionally backed into the gentleman. Unaware of the calamity he had caused, the driver continued operating the vehicle until a distressed bystander was able to capture his attention. Startled, the driver stopped immediately and anxiously awaited help for the victim, an 80-year-old Ann Arbor local. The elderly man had sustained significant head injuries, and despite being rushed to the University of Michigan hospital, he was sadly pronounced dead upon arrival. The driver of the plow truck remained at the scene and is cooperating fully with the investigating officers.
