Incident Information

A terrible accident occurred in Detroit on Sunday when a sedan driven by a young driver was reported to be driving recklessly, leading to it losing control and overturning. Witnesses said the car had been weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed before it eventually crashed into the concrete barrier that M-10 takes a sharp turn around as it heads north. The crash sadly resulted in three people being injured, with one passenger even being ejected from the vehicle due to the force of the accident.

The driver of the vehicle, who thankfully was wearing her seatbelt at the time, sustained injuries to her head, neck, back and hip. Similarly, a second passenger in her twenties had been ejected from the car during impact with a laceration to her head. Despite this, she remained alert and conscious. A 15-year-old male teen was also taken to hospital with an unidentified injury. Lt. Mike Shaw of State Police emphasized how essential it is that drivers enforce safer practices such as slowing down, leaving sufficient distance between vehicles and ensuring everyone is using their seatbelts.
