A tragic incident occurred on the night of Aug. 5, 2023, along I-94 in Detroit. Motorists called the police around 11:30 to report a motorcycle crash, and when officers arrived, they discovered a body lying in the westbound lanes. The incident involved a driver who attempted to swerve and avoid hitting the motorcycle but unfortunately ended up colliding with the motorcycle operator in the process. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently arrested for impaired driving.

Unfortunately, the accident occurred on the ramp between eastbound I-96 and westbound I-94 in Michigan. The motorcyclist from Romulus lost control while steering a curve, causing them to go down the embankment onto I-94. Sadly, the 31-year-old Detroit driver was unable to avoid the obstacle in the lane and struck the motorcyclist.

The life of the 34-year-old Romulus man was cut short, as he was pronounced dead at the scene.  An investigation is currently ongoing into finding more evidence on the crash, but ultimately, it serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of driving under the influence. We hope that this serves as a wake-up call to anyone who might consider getting behind the wheel after drinking or using drugs.
