The community of Farmington Hills is in shock after a 61-year-old pedestrian was tragically struck and killed on Feb 6. According to police, the incident happened at around 6:48 p.m. on Eight Mile Road, close to Inkster Road. Emergency responders found the man, an identified Detroit resident, in the roadway and transported him to a local hospital where sadly he passed away from his injuries. Detectives have released that they believe the driver who hit the victim is a 63-year old Detroit citizen and that alcohol was not a contributing factor in this situation. They are strongly urging anyone with any information regarding this event to come forward and contact authorities for further investigation.
