Tips for Enjoying the July 4th Weekend

Meet The Lee Steinberg Law Firm

The Law Offices of Lee B. Steinberg reminds you to enjoy this 4th of July weekend, but to do so carefully. As you can imagine, there are a number of drunk drivers and other unsafe drivers on the road.   In fact, statistically the 4th of July is the most dangerous holiday to be driving on the road.

Here are some helpful tips to follow this holiday weekend:

1.  Do not drink and drive.  Almost half of all fatal accidents which occur over this holiday weekend involve a driver with a blood-alchol level above the legal limit.  Drive responsibly.

2. Get enough sleep.  The second leading cause of driving fatalities is drowsiness.  Make sure you get some sleep before getting behind the wheel.

3.  Buckle your seatbelt.  This should go without saying.

4.  Keep travel plans flexible.  Make sure you leave enough time to get to your destination.  Traffic will be heavy.  You don't want to fall behind and resort to speeding.  Also, if you can, avoid traveling too late at night.

These are just some basic tips to ensure a pleasurable and safe 4th of July.  Enjoy the weekend!
