A Friday morning crash in Grand Rapids has left several people injured, including two young children. The police department was alerted to the collision at the intersection of Curwood Avenue SE and Langley Street SE, where they found two children, ages six and eight, trapped inside the at-fault vehicle. Bystanders reported downed power lines on top of the crushed car, adding to the emergency of the situation. While the children were transported to the hospital with minor injuries, the driver of the second vehicle was also hurt in the crash. The driver of the at-fault vehicle was ultimately arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after it was discovered that this was the second crash they had been involved in that day.
